A sincere thanks to everyone who came out and made last Saturday a successful and awesome show at the Highline. Princess and Grenades played probably the best sets I have seen from those two burgeoning local acts. We had legends in the room with VAZ, who made my head spin while performing material off their brand new record "Chartreuse Bull". Last but not least Portland's Rabbits. Truly, truly amazing live band, jaw dropping is no exaggeration. They are by far my favorite at the moment, and I can't wait to check out the videos Jerry took not to mention see them again as soon as possible.
With that badass show behind us, we venture into April, and last week I announced on Facebook the first of two SRG shows that will be happening in the 4th month of 2011.
Saturday April 16th at one of my favorite Ballard venues the 2 Bit Saloon, SRG Presents 90's Seattle noise-mongers Sleep Capsule, along with Seattle stoner rockers Ancient Warlocks. Also on the bill we are pleased to announce the first Seattle show for one of Portland's newest and most promising metal acts in Lord Dying as well as Seattle acid rockers Imperial Legions of Rome, who reportedly have some killer new tunes up their sleeves.
It's definitely a mixed bag of awesome, with each band bringing something unique to the table. I'm really looking forward to this one, and with a show of this caliber, it should go down as something special. Keep an eye out for more on all four of these bands leading up to the show.
