I just came across a cool interview with Soundgarden's Kim Thayil out on Rolling Stone's website. He talks about some of the unreleased SG songs, what he has been up to ("Altar" kicks ass!) and of course that fateful night in March at the Crocodile Cafe when 3/4's of Soundgarden reunited with Tad Doyle on vocals. I purchased tickets immediately when I found out both Kim and Ben Shepard were on the bill for the Seattle stop of Tom Morello's Justice Tour. I expected them to play separately; Kim play MC5 songs with Wayne Kramer and Mark Arm and Ben to play some of his Hater tunes, since he had played a one-off Hater gig at the Tractor not too long before. I have never been so giddy after I saw Matt Cameron peaking his head out from backstage, and with Tom's gloating the whole show about a huge surprise it seemed like it was a sure deal, and it was. All I can say is my wife and I watched the awesomeness (Nothing to Say, Hunted Down, and Spoonman) standing next to Tom Morello in the crowd before he joined them for Spoonman, does it get any better? Anyways, it was just one of the many awesome shows I have been lucky enough to have attended. Check out the sweet interview here, and you can also read about the Tadgarden gig here. Please excuse my iPhone pics, they suck but at least they are authentic. Rock!
PS. Everyone think good thoughts because we definitely need some new SG material and wouldn't mind a reunion either, right?

I want to see these guys! I love Soundgarden. To me, they are the best band to come out of Seattle hands down.
