0 Converge Ready New Record!

The last half of 2009 is shaping up to be an awesome time for new releases. Today Boston's Converge announced the details for their new album. From the looks of it Converge has invited quite a few noteworthy friends including Seattle's own John Pettibone of Himsa and Undertow fame to help out with what will surely be another brutal release. Catch Converge October 3rd in Seattle as they are part of that amazing lineup including Mastodon and High on Fire.

"As many of you know by now, Converge will be releasing their long-awaited new studio album, "Axe To Fall," on October 20th via Epitaph Records (with vinyl to be issued by Deathwish Inc.).The effort was recorded by guitarist Kurt Ballou at this Godcity studios in Salem, MA and features guest appearances from a host of notables, including Steve Brodsky (Cave In), Adam McGrath (Cave In), J.R. Connors (Cave In, Doomriders), Uffe Cederlund (Disfear, ex-Entombed), John Pettibone (The Vows, Himsa), Steve Von Till (Neurosis), and Mookie Singerman (Genghis Tron)."
