** Sorry I didn't write much else, The Melvins set was awesome and extremely heavy as always. They played a bunch of stuff from "Nude With Boots" and threw in some rarities as well. It was a weird night for me maybe I was still recovering from last weeks concert mayhem.
It makes me laugh every time i think about it, but I still can't believe Phil and the gang thought that they could follow the Melvins. I'm mean they looked stupid up there after the Melvins blew minds. Down sounded like shit too! The sound was off, Phil's vocals were too high and he sounded like he swallowed a friggin' frog or something. I was disappointed in there performance to say the least. The times I've seen Down before I was impressed, I mean they absolutely killed it in Vancouver opening up for Heaven and Hell and Megadeth.
Rex Brown the bass played has taken a leave of absence and so they have some dorky looking dude playing bass, he doesn't fit in at all. Fuck mainstream metal supergroups! Go back to where you belong, where's Crowbar, COC, or Eyehategod! Phil just retire you loser! So my initial comments stand below. **
