Looks like some plans have been made for me Saturday night in order to celebrate the release of Pearl Jam's new album "Backspacer" at Easy Street Records (WS). Though I have listened to the record more than 20 times since Monday, I will surely be at the Alaskan Junction to mingle with other PJ fans eagerly awaiting our chances to slap some cash down for a really great record. I already pre-ordered the vinyl, so I think I'll support my favorite local indie record store by picking up a hard copy of the compact disc. They are also doing a food drive, so bring some cans. Are you ready for the new Pearl Jam? Well it's time to get ready, because release date is drawing near! And to celebrate, we're going to hold a "Backspacer Bash" and Midnight Sale at our West Seattle store on September 19!
Here's the scoop:
WHAT: Pearl Jam "Backspacer Bash" and Midnight Sale!
WHEN: Party starts at 9 pm, Saturday, September 19th and will go until 12:30 am
WHERE: West Seattle store ONLY! (Queen Anne will not be having a midnight sale that evening). The address is 4559 California Ave SW in the heart of the West Seattle Junction. Here's a map.
LISTENING PARTY SCHEDULE:
9 pm to 11 pm - Listen to classic live and rare Pearl Jam!
11 pm to midnight - Listen to the new album, Backspacer!
Midnight - Backspacer goes on sale!
PRIZES:
Bring in 2 non-perishable food items and receive a FREE 2008 Pearl Jam Tote Bag! (while supplies last)
