If the KEXP Bumbershoot Music Lounge wasn't enough, then this should perk the ears of anyone from Seattle driving down to Portland this weekend for MFNW. KEXP is once again joining forces and will be broadcasting LIVE from the Doug Fir Lounge during the festival today September 17th and tomorrow the 18th.
The LIVE in studio sessions at the Doug Fir Lounge are free and open to the public. No sign up is necessary, but of course space is limited and admittance is on a first come, first serve basis.
I am hitting the road Friday to catch the much talked about Sunny Day Real Estate reunion, and I'll for sure be front row center for their big rock show. I also convinced my wife that we should hit up the midnight Mudhoney set as well...she's a good sport and I love my life! Stay tuned for coverage when I return. Cheers!
Here is the full schedule:
Thursday, September 17th
10:30am The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
12:30pm Cymbals Eat Guitars
2:30pm We Were Promised Jetpacks
4:30pm The Twilight Sad
Friday, September 18th
10:30am Local Natives
12:30pm Arctic Monkeys (CLOSED SESSION. NO AUDIENCE FOR THIS SET)
2:30pm The Builders and the Butchers
4:30pm Sunny Day Real Estate Canceled! Sucks!
