It pains me to tell you that there was another surprise Eddie Vedder appearance last night in Seattle and I was not in attendance. Ed jumped on stage at Showbox Sodo with Roger Daltrey who is currently on a solo tour. Ed joined Roger for renditions of "Betterman", "The Real Me", and helped close the night by screaming "the best I ever haaaad" part of "Bargain". From all reports it sounded like a great show, and of course anytime Ed shows up its makes for an even more memorable experience. The only thing that lets me sleep knowing I missed this one, is my encounter from Inauguration Day, 2008 at the Tractor. Easily one of my favorite concert memories, Ed sang "New World" with the Knitters and I rocked out shoulder to shoulder with him during a blazing set by John Doe and crew. Jeff and Mike were also in attendance. You can read an old post I did about that show here, and here are a couple videos, one from last night and one from that fateful November evening. Cheers!
