This photo was posted yesterday courtesy of Megan Seling on The Stranger's blog-- Lineout. I had to post, for a couple of reasons.
First it's friggin' hilarious and awesome. I'm tempted to blow it up, frame it, and hang it in my office at home.
Second, of course I can't speak for Megan and it's surely a joke but, I personally view it as a statement about Seattle's current slide into a hip-hop abyss. If you aren't aware our local hip-hop scene is being viewed as the second coming of "Grunge" by some "influential" music scribes.

While I am not against a music community coming together in support of local artists, I am very against the notion that Shabazz Palaces, Mash Hall, Mad Rad, and so forth are worth more attention than say Madraso, Akimbo, Dog Shredder, or Brothers of the Sonic Cloth.
I can not even begin to tell you how high my blood pressure rises every time I see another "Hype" filled headline about how great Seattle hip-hop is.

We must continue the good fight, and support the rock!
