0 [NEWS] Re-Issued Soundgarden 7" Available on Record Store Day 2010

You can probably disregard this is you're already stoked and have already signed up for the Soundgarden reunion email blasts. If not, get to it! Especially if you are an old fan.

The point of this post is to express how pumped I am for Record Store Day. Some of our favorite neighborhood indie stores not only sold tons of killer exclusives, but also had free in-stores as well. Easy Street for instance had the Moondoggies and Sweetwater play in-stores last year,
as well as sold a bunch of the cool exclusive vinyl and cd's released in conjunction with RSD09. I picked up a few gems such as a Russian Circles/These Arms Are Snakes spilt 12", and a set of re-issued Jesus Lizard 7 inches plus a ton of other cool stuff.

Bottomline is: for music fans who frequent their local record store it's quite a fun event, and I encourage everyone to take part in supporting our precious indie record retailers.
We are very lucky in Seattle to have quite a few excellent indie record stores at our disposal, and we must continue to keep them open. So you should definitely mark your calendars for April 17th, and make sure to get out and celebrate their existence as well as support their continued survival on this years Record Store Day 2010.

Hello SGworld,

Submitted for your listening pleasure, please enjoy this live version of Spoonman from a show we played on 11/30/96 at the Del Mar fairgrounds in San Diego CA. On this '96 tour, we recorded all the shows (on two inch tape) from the west coast run, to one day release as a live album (disc). We never got around to mixing those shows until recently and we were surprised at how crazy cool it all is!

Loudest of Love,

SG
