Very sad day today following the crappy rumormill that was last evening. I hate the internet sometimes. Either way the official word has come stating that Ronnie James Dio has indeed passed away this morning after a year long battle with stomach cancer. The man on the silver mountain will be missed beyond belief, so crank it if you've got it, and poor one out for the metal legend.

Sad news. Truly a legend. When I was a teenager getting into all the 'new' bands at the time like Metallica, my mate's dad played me Holy Diver. Ronnie's voice was second to none. RIP.
