0 Show Preview(s): Tonight and Tomorrow's Block Party Alternatives

Not a lot of time today to embellish upon these great shows, but if you feel like skipping the CHBP main stage headliners tonight and Saturday much like I intend on doing or aren’t hanging out on the hill at all this weekend. Then please consider the following alternative options for any end of work week live music intake:

Friday: The one the only Android Hero will rock the Funhouse tonight along with The Grindylow, which is newest project for ex-BlöödHag fellas Brent and Zack. So with Jeff McNulty, Brent and Zack that means 3/4 of BlöödHag will be in the house if my calculations are correct. So even though their former band has dissolved into the ether, a chance to check out what these veteran local musicians are up to now all in one fellow swoop is a highly recommended chance worth taking. Also on this bill are No World and Ardent Vein

Saturday: Fan of The Epoxies? In a similar “Where are they now?” scenario, Roxy Epoxy and the Rebound are in town on Saturday and this show will RAWK! Following The Epoxies demise in 2007, leading lady Roxy continued on with a new band but has not strayed from that familiar synth happy punk rock sound. This lady fucking owns a stage and I’d say why fight it, let her entertain you. Also on the bill are local notables Jaguar Paw-- a female fronted power pop act that should complement rambunctious Roxy perfectly. Pony Time and Aurora Roarers open the show.
