0 SHOW PREVIEW: COC / Goatsnake / Black Breath / Eagle Twin / Righteous Fool @ Neumos

Tomorrow night at Neumos you will find one of the most unexpected and truely unmissable metal bills to trudge through our fine city in some time.

First off, the legendary Corrosion of Conformity are headlining the show, though not in traditonal fashion. Instead the "Animosity" era lineup of Mike Dean, Woody Weatherman, and Reed Mullin will dust the cobwebs off their original sound. Yes, COC started out as part of the crossover thrash movement along side DRI, Suicidal Tendencies, and The Accüsed in the late 80's before becoming the sludge metal powerhouse we know and love. This is quite the historic event for those who weren't but infants at the time and know COC best for the Pepper Keenan version of the band.

You'll still have a chance to get out yer swamp boots, because there’s gonna be a whole mess o’ sludge courtesy of the reunited Goatsnake.

If you need much intro to this band, you’ve been living under a god* damn rock. But for those who may be vaguely familiar – Goatsnake play some of the doomiest Southern sludge ever created-- in California. Get some of that codeine syrup that them rappers drink and a set of earplugs and you should be ready to rock. Supposedly this reunion features Goatsnake's original four -- Pete Stahl on vocals, Greg Anderson of Sunn O))) on guitar, Greg Rogers on drums, and cross your motherfucking fingers for the left handed wonder, SCOTT REEDER of Kyuss on bass.

Also on the bill are Seattle’s very own demonslayers Black Breath and a band I simply refuse to shut up about – Eagle Twin – who put out one of my favorite albums of last year (and simply one of the best I’ve heard, period) and are a must-see act live. Rounding out the line up is Righteous Fool, a new band featuring members of COC. I would advise taking a pit stop before heading out for this one because there’s no telling what the sub-bass in Neumos is gonna do to your bowels.

As if that all wasn’t enough to peak out your stoke-o-meter, the first hundred people through the doors at Neumo’s tomorrow get a free COC 7” courtesy of the mighty Southern Lord Records – the label that brought you these and a whole slew of other kick ass bands!

If you like heavy music and don’t show up for this, you are a total pussy.

See you there!
