0 SHOW PREVIEW(s): Seattle Founders Day Festival

As I write this I am trying gauge how fucking hot I will be when I finally leave my semi-cool condo for Seattle Founders Day Festival in Belltown. This FREE event is happening today and tomorrow on the streets of the trendy Seattle hood (2nd Ave closed off between Battery & Blanchard from the Rendezvous to the Crocodile!), and the great local lineup is certainly worth slathering on some sun screen, hydrating your nasty body, and venturing out for yet another local block party.

I highly recommend Sunday over Saturday's lineup though, as the 1-2-3 punch of Bellingham's Dog Shredder, The Cops, and Kinski will showcase some of the most potent rock currently available in the area. Music is of course just one element of the festival, so check out what else is happening here: http://seattlefounders.com/

Here's the 2 day music lineup and schedule:

This party isn't stopping because following Founders Day Festival there is yet another excellent and totally FREE dose of music happening inside the Rendezvous. I love the 'Vous for a couple of reasons: great bartenders and the multitude of amazing shows that are booked in the Jewelbox Theater courtesy of the venues enterainment booker Adam Bass. He has pieced together another fine bill of complete obscurity for the Founders Day after show that features some great up and coming local talent. Two notables include: Sindios, an excellent local thrash metal band that is set to drop a brand new album, and Black Science, an extra-brainy scifi psychedelic rock act that is primed for a wider audience. Fuck work on Monday!!

Closing night FREE CONCERT for Seattle Founder's Day Festival!
Sunday, August 15th @ Rendezvous/Jewelbox Theater - 2322 2nd Ave.
