Oh Portland, you are so close but so far away at the same time. Taking a weekend trip down south is a planned affair and I don't get down there nearly enough. I know this is Seattle Rock Guy but we are certainly very interested and stoked about whats happening in rock, metal, punk rock etc throughout the northwest and especially Portland, Oregon.
Case in point Portland's Wizard Rifle, who I just recently discovered. This noisy duo put out an animated video for "The Organ Donor Song" last April and frequently plays with the bands of the tight knit heavy music scene in Portland, including the likes of Red Fang, Lord Dying, Witch Mountain, and Nether Regions.
Keep an eye out for Wizard Rifle coming to city near you in April as they embark a lengthy tour. Seattle, I'm working on a date.
