0 NEW MUSIC: Stream Red Fang's "Murder the Mountains" on NPR

Yesterday the Fang gang's first record as part of the esteemed Relapse Records roster found it's way onto NPR.com and is now streaming in it's entirety.

Sort of crazy, right?

There was never a doubt in my mind that the Portland rockers would make it big, and it seems they are well on their way to hitting a mass audience with their excellent sophomore release "Murder the Mountains", which is set to officially drop April 12th.

It couldn't be happening to a bunch of really nice and humble dudes, but that's really besides the point. "Murder the Mountains" is a badass record that features a diverse collection of tracks that seemlessly blend riff-centric stoner rock with punk rock sensibilities. "Wires" is sure to be a summer anthem for many, while standouts like the blazing "Dirt Wizard' and mammoth "Into the Eye" prove this band is making original heavy music on their own terms.

Listen now, and buy April 12th.

Red Fang is back in town this Friday as part of the Metal Alliance Tour that also features Helmet, St. Vitus, Crowbar, Kylesa, Howl, and more. I expect them to go on sometime between 7-8pm, so don't be late.
