There is a cool show happening down at Columbia City Theater this Friday with our good friends Princess and Vultures 2012 along with the recently reunited and re-energized Argonaut from Tacoma as well as The Loathsome Couple.
Princess has been tearing it up on the local circuit, including a window rattling turn at Tacoma’s Rocket Records on Record Store Day a couple weekends ago. Vultures 2012 recently returned from a west coast tour and are still playing in support of their ripping’ debut “Bare Your Teeth”. If you are reading this and you don’t have it yet? Stop being LAME! Argonaut brings the fuzzed out stoner rock with proficiency, exhibited while opening for Red Fang at the Sunset earlier in the year.
This is only the 3rd heavy music show that has been booked at the renovated theater, only Lesbian during opening week and a St. Paddy’s Day Ancient Warlocks show if I’m counting right. And while CCT certainly caters to a different musical demographic, I don’t see why us heavy music hoodlums can’t invade the space and turn shit up a notch like everywhere else.
