Right now I'm counting down the days until June 21st. That's the day "Weatherhead" official hits stores in 2LP, CD, digital formats. "Weatherhead" is Helms Alee's follow-up to the phenominal "Night Terror" which was released way back in 2008. The long wait is over folks, not that I've ever tired of the debut.
Ben, Hozi, and Dana have a busy summer in front of them in support of the new record. Their next show is at the Comet Tavern June 7th with Young Widows, My Disco, and Brickbats. This show is a birthday celebration for Brickbats frontman Nathan Donnel. Next is their KEXP's Seek and Destroy sponsored record release show Friday June 29th at Neumos with extra mighty support from Akimbo, Brothers of the Sonic Cloth and Portland band Norska, that features Aaron and Dustin of YOB.

Throughout much of July and August Helms Alee will be on the road with Hyrda Head cohorts Torche, and Big Business. The Hydra Head Summer Tour hits Seattle August 4th and also takes place at Neumos. So as you can see lots to look forward to on the Helms Alee front; a new record just in time for summer and at the very least 3 chances to see the band in action locally.
