0 SHOW PREVIEWS: Police Teeth and Grenades Celebrate Record Releases on Friday

It's sort of a bummer that there are at least 3 killer shows happening this Friday, 2 of which are record release shows for two of Seattle's best.

Over at the Comet Tavern, Police Teeth are throwing down for the release of their new LP, "Awesomer Than the Devil". If you dig humor laden, pop conscience indie punk with an edge, this should be your favorite local release of the year...so far. It's a noisy one from start to finish with plenty of chunky riffs and plenty of hooks. If you've seen Police Teeth in concert before you should know that they bring it in a live setting. This show should be excellent.

Over at the Black Lodge, like I've mentioned this week, Grenades and Mercy Ties are throwing a party for the release of their split 12", out now on Echolalic Records and selling at the show for $10. I'm not going to say too much more on this other than also on the bill are SANDRIDER and LOZEN and it's only $3. Take a listen to the tracks featured on this release below and don't miss this show.

Also happening on Friday is a doozy of a show at the Funhouse with the always unpredicatble Captured! By Robots. The all robot band actually play their instruments while forcing human captor, J-Bot, to play with them...as the story goes anyways. It's an experience, that's for sure. Warning:Danger!, who have a new record coming out in August and are playing mostly new songs are on the bill. As are the always mighty Android Hero, who are kicking around new material as well. Check out a few of those new W:D! tracks below:
