This Saturday July 9th Curse of the North return home from a mini west coast tour to celebrate the release of their debut EP "Revelations" at the Comet. I've been listening to the EP for a couple weeks now and Curse of the North definitely makes the list of local rock and metal bands who have released kickass records in 2011 so far. The Matt Bayles engineered "Revelations" will be available at the show for free to anyone who pays the $5 cover, pretty damn good deal if you ask me.
The SRG sponsored event also features THE HOOKERS. The raucous Kentucky punk rock veterans played El Corazon a couple weeks ago with Zeke and just destroyed. The reality of them playing the much smaller, much more intimate Comet Tavern is a little mind blowing, and should not be missed. It's going to get wild! Also on the bill are the always brutal Vultures 2012 and Seattle band Elks Blood.
The Comet will be fucking LOUD on Saturday. Let's party!
