0 SRG Capitol Hill Block Party 2012 Recommendations

Here are the bands I WILL NOT be missing this weekend at the Capitol Hill Block Party...

Friday, July 20th:

Nu Sensae, 4:00pm @ Vera Stage -- Noisy Suicide Squeeze act.

Deadkill, 4:15pm @ Neumos (See Preview) -- Burn! Burn!

Black Breath, 6:30pm @ Neumos -- Southern Lord blacked thrashers, oh yeah they are local dudes too.

Thee Oh Sees, 7:30pm @ Main Stage -- Energetic garage punk, John Dwyer is a badass!

Crypts, 7:45pm @ Cha Cha Stage -- Witchhouse, noise project featuring Steve Snere (formally of These Arms Are Snakes).

Blood Red Dancers, 8:45pm @ Cha Cha Stage -- Final whiskey snarled performance from this moody Seattle favorite.

Constant Lovers, 9:45pm @ Vera Stage -- One of Seattle's best drummer keeps time for one of Seattle's most interesting and best kept secrets.

Saturday, July 21st:

Absolute Monarchs, 2:15pm @ Main Stage, 5:30pm @ Barboza (See Preview)

Night Beats, 7:15pm @ Vera Stage - Seattle based psychedelic garage rockers, always a fun time.

Sandrider, 7:30pm @ Barboza (See Preview)

The Psychic Paramount, 7:45pm @ Neumos -- Instrumental drum and noise act. Josh from Rabbits is making the trip for these guys. Reason enough for me.

Lesbian, 8:45pm @ Cha Cha Stage - Seattle's resident tripped out metalheads' next album is one continuous roller coaster ride that begins as a chilled out stoner jam session eventually hits acid freak shred fest and ends in complete annihilation (of my eardrums and mind) in the span of 45 minutes. Hope they play it.

Helms Alee, 9:45pm @ Cha Cha Stage - This band alone makes Seattle better than any other music town on Earth.

After-Party w/ Monogamy Party and Brokaw, 11pm @ Comet Tavern (See preview)

Sunday, July 22nd:

Mass Games, 4:15pm @ Cha Cha Stage - Very first show for this brand new band that reunites Das Llamas bros Shawn Kock from Absolute Monarchs and Kerry Zettel from See Me River

Haunted Horses, 5:45pm @ Cha Cha Stage - While the duos trend might be getting old, Haunted Horses keeps it very interesting by making more glorious noise than 2 fellas have any business making.

Murmurs, 6:45pm @ Cha Cha Stage - Hear great things about this hard rockin' punk act featuring members of Snuggle and Portland's Transient.

Skarp, 7:45pm @ Cha Cha Stage -- Crust!
