I wanted to check out Mika Miko purely becaused I enjoyed their Sub Pop Single 7" that was part of Sub Pop's singles club 3.0. The lo-fi recording of "Sex Jazz" on that single is pretty cool. I made my way to the front of the Vera Stage and ended jumping around next to Spencer Moody of The Murder City Devils for a few songs, which was a highlight of day one for me. The dual female singers were energetic, but I feel like the lo-fi recording's I've heard did the band better justice than in the live setting. I'll have to give them another try.
