0 CHBP: Born Anchors

Born Anchors proved their worth for me Friday night at the Cha Cha, and I finally saw what all the fuss was about. This rock trio does a really good job of making pretty straight forward indie rock music more interesting than it should be. A guitar player, bass player, and drummer that's it, no weird effects or keyboards nothing, just the meat and potatoes. The played a lively set of songs off their debut "Sprezzatura" including my favorite "Cascading"to a smallish but welcoming crowd. I can't wait until their next gig, because I want to see more. By the way I'm going to start attempting to make more of the Sunday/Monday night Cha Cha shows. My favorite Seattle hangout is awesome as an intimate venue!
