0 Last Night: The Cave Singers Record Release at Easy Street
Last night The Cave Singers celebrated the release of their second album “Welcome Joy” by playing a free in-store performance at Easy Street Records in front of what was rumored to be anywhere from 400-700 people. The store was jammed to the brim and really warm, probably way over “legal” capacity. I didn’t notice how packed it was until we tried to leave, and was sort of claustrophobic getting out the door. They played a short 35 minute set filled just about every song off the new record, including “Beach House”, “At the Cut”, “Summer Light”, and my favorite “I Don’t Mind”. It was a great live intro to the new songs, the record is strong, and I can’t wait for their gig on Monday of Bumbershoot. Here are some pics I took, they pretty much suck, because even though I was pretty close to the action, I unfortunately had a group of tall dudes with big hair stand right in my view. I had to sort of shoot over their heads resulting in below. Marty and Derek were blocked for much of the show. So Peter got the majority of the attention. Cheers!
