I just caught wind of another killer show announcement, and thought I'd bring it to your attention. Florida punk troop Against Me! will rock Neumos Monday March 1st. This is awesome news, as the band puts on one hell of a energetic and raucous live show. 2002's "Reinventing Axel Rose" is as good a punk record as I can think of at this moment, and "New Wave" was easily one of the best records of the last 5 years, despite the band's move to better production and a more accessible sound. In August 2009, Against Me! headed into the studio to record their next full-length album with "New Wave" producer Butch Vig. Recording concluded in October and the album will be titled "White Crosses". It's safe to say this show should be a preview of that new material.
They have just confirmed two headlining shows in advance of their dates with Billy Talent in Canada. They will be performing at Neumo’s in Seattle, WA of course on March 1st and at The Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver, BC on March 2nd. Tickets for both of these shows go on sale this Friday at 10 am PST.
I guess this news makes my decision on whether I should drive to Spokane to see Megadeth play "Rust in Piece" in it's entirety on March 1st a little easier. I think I'll stay home and catch another fun Against Me! gig and wait to see Dave when he returns with Slayer later on in the year.
