Preview by Jerry HowardDamn people, the A-Frames play The Funhouse tonight!
Stoked!
Ever since hearing the A-Frames for the first time, they've been on heavy rotation in my music collection. These guys capture the sci-fi/post apocalyptic feel better than anyone. In fact, their music influenced our editing while piecing together Vampire Hunter Hank. The song "Negative" definitely glued the opening sequence together and the album Black Forest helped set the tone because it rarely left the cd player during the editing process.
The A-Frames music places one in a world Phillip K. Dick and George Orwell write about: dark, bleak, controlled, on the brink of collapse. Yet it establishes a dark tone with a sense of humor with tracks titled "Test Tube Baby," "Surveillance," and "Black Forest II" just to name a few.
No way will I miss this show! Time to head on down to The Funhouse, crack a few Oly's and gear up for a rowdy evening of loud punk rock. Looking forward to it.
The A-Frames play with revered Australian punk band X, , and Walls.
