1 CHBP 2010: Absolute Monarchs - "Killing the Old" (Video)

Here is just a quick video for you from the first day of Capitol Hill Block Party 2010. I had planned on making the rounds yesterday, but found myself not wanting to leave the Cha Cha due to a trio of bands that were worth the price of admission on their own. By the time I ascended from the depths of one of my favorite Seattle watering holes with a blown mind and a slight buzz it was dark and streets were crawling with activity-- where had the day gone? I was a mole on Day 1, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way especially because the biggest draw for me on Friday was Seattle’s own Absolute Monarchs – one of the most exciting hybrid punk rock acts this city has seen in years. You’ve read about them before on SRG, but now see them in action if you haven’t yet had the opportunity.
