2 LIVE REVIEW: Tera Melos @ Vera Project

Just 3 days after the release of their 3rd full length album entitled “Patagonian Rats”, Sargent House Records recording artist Tera Melos stopped by the Vera Project to show off some of their new material. They did so sporting a new look….a fourth member. The addition will not be permanent, but they elected to bring their friend Evan (Worker Bees) along on the tour to fill in what they call “skronky blip sounds, electro snare rolls and melodies hidden all over the place” in order to recreate the new songs as closely as possible.

Despite an additional member on stage lightening some of the load off frontman Nick Reinhart, he still managed to look like a mad man both with his guitar and with his sound pedals. With fancy footwork abundant throughout the set, at one point I was mistaken too think he was playing a keyboard on the ground with his feet. It turned out just to be his psychotic way of delivering those sounds that make you go…WTF?

  2. As far as I know that's the same drummer they've had since the end of 2008, John Clardy.
