1 Killer Red Fang News and Stuff

Here are just a few newsworthy notes regarding the mighty Red Fang for your Monday evening. First of all the Fang gang begins a month long tour alongside Valient Thorr this Thursday at El Corazon. The show is all ages and is listed at $12. It seems the fellas went into the studio recently and on this tour they will have a brand new limited edition tour EP available that features killer covers of "Over the Edge" by the Wipers, "Through" by No Talent and "Carjack Fairy" by Cherubs, as well as a new original song - "Pawn Everything."

Also as reported before, Red Fang recently signed to Relapse Records. Now that they have a home they have set early 2011 as the time they will unleash their much anticipated sophomore record produced by the Decemberist's Chris Funk? Yeah, I thought that was an interesting pairing as well. None-the-less at least we now know it’s coming sooner than later.

Lastly, two brand new Red Fang tracks are available via some FREE samplers currently floating around the interwebs. First, the studio version of “Wires” can be found on a Valient Thorr tour sampler available here. Secondly, an infectious little number called “Hank is Dead” can be downloaded as part of a kick ass metal sampler provided by Scion and Adult Swim called "Metal Swim", available here.
