0 Harkonen: Live at The Shakedown (Video)

Sooooo....Harkonen, the now legendary Seattle band that featured Ben Verellen, Casey Hardy, and Matt Howard at its peak of popularity, reunited last weekend for two shows.

The first show was in Bellingham as they christened a brand new venue with an impressive sound system called The Shakedown, along with Dog Shredder, Lozen, and Swayze (Don and Mike of Mico De Noche and Lupe Flores of Sugar Sugar Sugar). I never thought the day would come, and because the reunion was so out of the blue and so unpredictable, this partiuclar reunion was a real treat. Never saw this one coming.

There isn't a ton to say about the show other than I feel sorry for anyone who missed this rare opportunity. Swayze was impressive on their first show ever, Lozen never ceases to amaze, and Dog Shredder owns on their home turf. Harkonen was simply mind blowing. I really wish Harkonen and Helms Alee could co-exist, Seattle needs both. I need both. I guess I'll just have to listen to the Harkonen discography for the umpteenth time this week. *sigh*.

Here is Harkonen wrecking faces last Friday:
