1 TICKET GIVEAWAY: The Spinning Whips / Ancient Warlocks / Koko and the Sweetmeats at CCT

How better to celebrate St. Patricks Day than with an old fashioned rock and roll show? Just so happens that Backbeat Seattle and Columbia City Theater has a great one on tap featuring 3 excellent Seattle bands, all of which owe a great deal to groovy 70's rock in some way or another. Koko and the Sweetmeats' mid-tempo garage rock borders on psychedelic and is chalk full of T.Rex influenced swagger. Ancient Warlocks bring some uber-satisfying groove-laden stoner rock to the table. You dig colossal riffs? Here's your new favorite local band. Closing the evening are The Spinning Whips, who have hard rockin' down to a science. The Whips feature ex-members of Ice Age Cobra, and all about the good times that rock and roll music represents. The bottomline is this will be a really fun show, not to mention you won't have to deal with the sloppy drunken mess that downtown will surely be.

We have 2 pairs of tickets to giveaway to the first and second person who send their full name to giveaways@seattlerockguy.com with St. Paddy's Day in the subject. Hurry!
