Tacoma's Apache Chief consists of a group of self-confessed heavy metal garage punks, and certainly their mangy, beer-soaked, basement recordings seem to scream that notion loud and clear. According to the band, they've been playing around for a couple years, and surprisingly even competed in EMP's yearly battle of the bands "Sound Off" in 2010. They've added a 2nd guitar player since that time and last fall they recorded their first album, "Trail of Beers".
