Earlier today Seattle band Princess posted their brand new Conrad Uno enigneered EP on their bandcamp site. The Grim Energy EP is 6 high energy heavy tunes that showcases the noteworthy hefty riffs, frantic drumming, and pummeling low end of guitarist Roddy Chops, drummer Violet Séverine Blanchard, and bassist Sam Wilder. Frontman Andrew Chapman shows some versitility with some uncharacteristic clean vocals on catchy numbers like the "The Foundry" but keeps things brutal on album standouts "Sundowner" and "Remember to Breathe". These new recordings see Princess melding post-punk angst, Touch and Go inspired noise rock, and 90's NW heaviness into a chaotic, punishing and stellar first release.
Chalk up another one for Seattle heavy music.
