0 Get a double dose of DEADKILL this weekend!

Last week I had the opportunity to preview some of the rough mixes from explosive Seattle band Deadkill's debut, due out sometime early next year. Needless to say, the huge guitar riffs, killer hooks, and all around excellent song writing have me pretty damn stoked about this underrated Seattle act. Deadkill has only played a handful of shows in 2011 all of them to rave reviews, and if you were in the room this past July when Deadkill destroyed the Comet Tavern as part of a Capitol Hill Block Party after party then you know what Deadkill brings to the table in blood, sweat, and loud ass guitars. Bottom line: I highly recommend checking out Deadkill pronto. They are easily one of the best live heavy rock bands in town. and this weekend you have not one but two chances to see them in action as they are part of two amazing shows.

First tonight Deadkill opens for the one and only Spits at Chop Suey. This show is probably already sold out so don't bother trying to get in. Instead you should cancel all your plans on Saturday and head down to the Funhouse for another top notch Ladies Choice Presents show. One of San Diego's noisiest bands, Sirhan Sirhan, are in town. If you dig noise rock mixed with lightning fast punk and metal then I'm willing to bet you'll love Sirhan Sirhan. As Jerry mentioned on his killer show preview, Portland's Rabbits will be in town for the first time since the SRG show back in March. "Lower Forms" is still in my top 5 records of 2011 and they absolutely slay live.

Oh yeah, the local talent. Any bill that features Seattle's Android Hero is totally worth your time, but any bill featuring Android Hero and Deadkill is a definite plans changer with or without stellar touring acts. This could be one of the best shows of the year, so don't miss out and don't be late! Deadkill hits the stage at 10pm.
