0 Throne of Bone's last show is tonight

My apologies for the very late notice for those that need a 3 advance in order to attend shows, but it's important to note that Seattle's Throne of Bone, who have been inactive for close to a year following the release of their debut album, are playing one final show this evening to see off guitarist Josh Patten, who is moving out of town.

The blackened thrash quartet were an integral part of Seattle's underground metal scene for a couple years, and it was a sad day when they decided to take an extended leave of absence last year right when it seemed like things were going so well.

Tonight they are joined by The Annunaki, the brain child of multi-talented musician Dave French (now drumming for Brothers of the Sonic Cloth), that has featured in the past an always revolving cast of Seattle lumineries including Tad Doyle, Ben Shepherd, and Spencer Moody. Also on the bill are A Gun That Shoots Knives and instrumental thrashers Guns of Barisal, who just released a very fine record called Westinghoused back on June 16th.

Tonight. Black Lodge. Be There.

The following photos were taken at easily one of my favorite Throne of Bone shows, an anti-Bumbershoot festival held in the depths of the Belltown Underground Events Center back in September 2010. TOB headlined and just destroyed. It was around 2:30am.
