As for shows, I've seen the band Balsa twice this year and each time I thought they were great...also seen Weld a few times and they're tight, metal, and fun to listen to and watch.
Medula Piñata keeps a very low-profile. They are one of the most underrated, under appreciated, unknown Seattle treasures I can think of. They melted faces recently at the Josephine as part of an SRG Presents show and start off 2013 with a show at the Comet on February 6th. A must see!
