2 CHBP: Black Lips

There were lots of 80's sunglasses and awesome mustaches rockin to the Black Lips on Friday and day 1 of the CHBP. These guys were total misfits, from where I was, not all that far away from the stage I couldn't tell if guitar player Ian Saint Pe' was sporting a platinum grill or if those were metal dentures. These hipsters played an enthuastic set of their psych garage rock, and I really enjoyed the material I was familair with off "200 Million Thousand" their newest release. I guess they used to be pretty crazy on stage; urinating, and starting things on fire but have toned it down a bit recently due to being thrown out of too many venues and being banned from countries like India. How about that mustache on rythm guitarist Alexander Cole, pretty awesome!
