Looks like another kick ass band has chosen Seattle producer du jour Matt Bayles to help bring their ideas to the masses. Austin, Texas' THE SWORD has entered the studio with producer Matt Bayles (MASTODON, ISIS, MINUS THE BEAR) to begin recording its third album for a late 2010 release via Kemado Records.
Matt of course is responsible for some excellent recordings you may know including: Pearl Jam's "Yield", Mastodon's "Leviathan" and "Blood Mountain", Botch's "American Nervosa", Minus the Bear's "Planet of Ice", Russian Circles' "Station", and Helms Alee's "Night Terror" just to name a very select few. Basically he's tweeked the knobs on some primo fucking recordings, and while the fact that we get a new Sword record in 2010 is great news for sure. It's the news that Matt is involved that is the cream cheese icing on the cake.
