2 NEW MUSIC: The Ruby Doe Return With the Blistering "Getting Ahead in the Music Business"

So completely under the internet radar from what I can tell, one of Seattle’s most riveting live bands over the past decade, The Ruby Doe, have been readying release of their first record since 2005's "Always With Wings". In past couple weeks the band have not only revealed the artwork and track list for their 4th studio album, “Getting Ahead in the Music Business”, but have made it available for digital download on their band camp site as well as are taking pre-orders for vinyl copies.

After a quick stream, I’d say The Ruby Doe are set to return with a vengeance because the new shit is not only heavy as fuck but equally as pissed off. Stand out track “Bull in the Pit” like much of the record is currently blistering my eardrums in the best possible way and is certainly one of the finest local releases I've heard all year.

This is exciting news for fans and the band alike as The Ruby Doe was at one time a go-to band if you needed a swift kick in the pants. They have been noticeable absent in recent years, but I cannot think of a better time for them to return to kick ass once again. They were missed, and I am stoked as hell for future shows including their return to a live stage October 7th at Neumos opening for the legendary Nomeansno.

Buy the record fuckers it rips.

  2. AS GOOD AS THIS ALBUM IS, THEY ARE BETTER LIVE. TALL ORDER, YES, BUT IN ORDER TO KNOW THE LOVE THAT IS THE DOE, GO AND SEE A SHOW (in the meantime, dig the new and older albums on their bandcamp site).
Thx to SRG for catching this.
