Seattle's Into the Storm have been working on their new record but they also released a record digitally in 2010 that was vastly overlooked. "Amidst a Sea of Chaos" is a beast of a record, simply brutal. On it Into the Storm explore some very interesting territory in the noise-metal realm and I highly recommend a spin or five.
Right now out on their bandcamp the record is available for a "name your price" deal with a majority of the tracks available for free download. I'm stoked to see what Into the Storm will bring to the table with their next offering, but for now "Amidst a Sea of Chaos" is music to my battered and blistered ears.
ITS has two shows coming up in the remaining days of February, both of which will be along side Californian juggernauts Razorhoof, who will be in western Washington on yet another tour pass. The first is at the Snakepit in Olympia on the 22nd, the second is at the Comet on the 23rd.
