The day is quickly approaching where all the hard work of one particular Seattle band will finally be unveiled. The date has been set, April 1st at the Sunset Tavern, Smooth Sailing will fire it up with help from their friends Into the Storm and Spokane post-metal act, Anadonia. All that heaviness will then be followed up by a dance party courtesy of Oven Rake.
Smooth Sailing's debut full length "xoxo" was recorded by Dave Green at Houdini's Tree studio in Seattle. "xoxo" will be available at the show for $10, but you can also pre-order the record at shop.smoothsailingband.com as well as all major online digital music retailers.
The release show also happens to be a tour kick off show. Smooth Sailing will be venturing out on their second West Coast tour in less than a year in support of their baby.
I am super stoked for this amazing local release. It's a roller coaster of a record, with excellent production values, serious shredding from Chris and Patrick, thunderous bass work by Jake and Ryan, and equally thunderous double kick from Brandon, and you'll see Timmy's contribution during their electrifying live set on April 1st.
