1 TICKET GIVEAWAY: St. Vitus | Weedeater | Sourvein | Mos Generator

HOLY SHIT! WE GET TO SEE SAINT VITUS WITH WINO! HOLY SHIT!

Anyone who enjoys slow, sludgy, stoner doom owes a debt to Saint Vitus. Formed in 1978 in Los Angeles, CA, they were one of the first bands of the genre alongside Pentagram (1971), Witchfinder General (1979) and a small handful of others, and with Scott "Wino" Weinrich (vocals) re-uniting with long time bandmates and founding members Dave Chandler (guitar) and Mark Adams (bass) Saint Vitus is just as heavy as ever, and ready to share their special brand of down tempo, plodding doom with a whole new generation.

It’s been an agonizing seventeen-year wait for their newest album, Lillie: F-65 (named after a powerful downer), but for those that are still faithful, it’s been well worth it. The album is a gloomy masterpiece, full of self loathing, slow monster riffs and Wino’s pained vocals, and belongs in your stack of favorite Saint Vitus vinyl right alongside 1990’s V, and 1986’s Born to Late. It’s the perfect soundtrack for drinking a cold beer after a frustrating day.

Saint Vitus will be playing the highline Oct 7th alongside stoner metal legends Weedeater, and Sourvein, with local support from Mos Generator rounding out the bill for one of the heaviest shows of the year. If you’re a fan of Sleep, Dopethrone, Burning Witch, Goatsnake, Sunn O))), Boris or slower music in general, you owe it to yourself to see this show.
